LES FOLIES FESTIVAL
The Strange Air exhibition which will take place in june 2008 in Maubeuge, is part of the Folies Festival, prepared by Le Manège Theatre. The project consists in creating a journey in the town with giant inflatable structures in various public spaces –squares, bridges, parks… The exhibition will consist of several installations and urban decoration elements. A strange atmosphere will reign over the urban landscape, sometimes mixed with a poetic, humorous or political dimension. These recent creations will be presented in order to surprise, entertain people, and have them dream. Les Folies Festival is a street performances and shows festival: music, circus and theatre are performed in the streets of Maubeuge during three days. The 2008 festival will be the 12th edition of this multidisciplinary festival. Les Folies is a major event in the cultural calendar of Maubeuge.
